We’re officially welcoming October and the first month of fall! While the cooler weather hasn’t quite arrived yet, we’re staying hopeful that those crisp autumn days are just around the corner. In the meantime, we’re ready to embrace the season, the holidays, and of course… the beloved “ber trio” (September, October, November)! 🎃🍁🦃

- Oct 2– 🚫 No School (Fall Holiday)
- Oct 2 – School Custodian Appreciation Day
- Oct 3 – 🍧 Penalty Box Shaved Ice – $3 cash (not part of prepaid option). Don’t forget to send in money if your child would like a treat! No Drop off’s!
- Oct 5– World’s Teacher Day. Celebrate your teachers on October 3rd by sending a kind note!
- Oct 6– 💙Wear Blue– Stand up for yourself Stomp our Bullying
- Oct 8 – Walk and Roll to school day! Meet us at 3 different locations to walk, bike, roll, to school. Arrive by 7:10am, roll out at 7:20am.

- 📍Ponce & Royal Palm: Mrs. Taylor
- Oct 10 – 👽 UFO Day – Dress in your own style (dress code appropriate) for $5 cash or prepaid UFO pre-pay here
- Oct 16 – 🎃🍬 TRUNK or TREAT. Don’t forget to send in your classroom Candy Donations!!!
- Join us for a fun and safe celebration from 6pm to 8pm. Enjoy fun games, lots of candy, Food trucks and concessions by our safety patrols! Volunteers Needed Volunteer Sign Up
- Oct 17 – 🚫 No School (Professional Development Day PDD)
- Oct 22– Unity Day – Wear Orange. Dress code only: HLJ shirt, collard shirt or button-up.
- Oct 27-31 – Red Ribbon Week. See Flyer below for Sprit Week.
- Oct 29– SAC Meeting 2:45pm-3:30pm
- Oct 31 – Halloween! 🍿 Popcorn Day – $2 cash or prepaid. Volunteers Needed arrive by 8:00am Volunteer Sign Up Book Character Parade.
💬 What Has PTO Been Up To?
Your PTO has been hard at work behind the scenes — organizing fundraisers, planning family events, and coordinating volunteer opportunities to support our students and teachers.
-PTO purchased breakfast for our Patriots Day Parade
-Scheduled, coordinated, and prepared Cherrydale Fundraiser. Distributing envelopes, toys, and collecting payments and forms to complete a successful fundraiser.
-Helped set up and volunteer at the Book Fair to help Mrs. Torres with students.
-Purchased iReady Incentive for Students with Jolly Times
-Purchased prices for Bingo Night.
-Helped organize, set up, and volunteer during Grandparent’s night. Setting backdrop, bingo classrooms and supplies, helping at book fair, selling concessions.
– Picked up Field Trip shirts, sorted and distributed
-Covered Monthly Subscriptions (canva, quickbooks, website, cheddar up)
-Bought new Popcorn Machine! Thanks to a Generous Donation
-Purchased foam boards for teachers signs and helped hang them up.
-Balanced quickbooks.
We couldn’t do it without YOU — our parents, volunteers, business partners, and staff. Thank you for being part of this amazing school community. Let’s keep leveling up and making this year the best one yet!
